Devil & Satanism

Devil or Satan is both a noun and an adjective. Shaitan as a noun means enemy, adversary and as an adjective it means evil. According to Islamic belief, Satan or Iblis was created from unwashed fire and man from mud. The main characteristic of Satan is that he has no power of his own to do evil or directly harm people. Only the human mind has the power to give bad advice. Satan was a jinn, a soul called to God, according to other sources, Satan was a disobedient angel. Angels have no free will, they do not have any evil or sinful thoughts in their minds, because Allah has not given them any power to disobey Adam. Iblis is the only angel who disobeyed Allah. Adam, the best of creation, was expelled from Paradise for not prostrating himself. "It is We Who created you and gave you shape; then We bade the angels prostrate to Adam, and they prostrate; not so Iblis (Lucifer); He refused to be of those who prostrate." (Allah) said: "What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?" He said: "I am better than him: You did not create me from fire, and him from clay." Qur'an 7:11-12 He is then known as Satan and says that "since he was cast out for disobedience, he will lead the children of Adam (man) astray until the Day of Resurrection." He was sent to earth along with Adam and Eve. The Hebrew Bible also mentions an angel named 'Ha Shaitan'. According to the description here, he does not do any evil himself, he draws God's attention to every sin and evil cause of man. According to Christianity, Satan is the serpent who tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. Here too he is referred to as an angel who always exhorts people to rebel against God.The Book of Revelation contains detailed descriptions of Satan and his activities. Satan's number is 666. However, the Bible's Book of Revelation does not mention this number of Satan. According to most researchers, the number 666 is intended for the Roman emperor Nero, because during Nero's time there were several brutal attacks on the ancient Christians. Over time, a special phenomenon called Satanism developed. Its adherents treat Satan as a god. The roots of Satan worship, however, are much older, even before the birth of Jesus Christ. However, most of the ideas of Satanism did not originate from the real 'Satan'. From the rituals of witches and deities various concepts of devil worship have developed. These worshipers imagine the devil in human form. Satanism became popular as a religion around 1966. During this time, an organization called the Church of Satan was formed. The Church of Satan's web site logo. They were accused of torturing people in the name of satan worship and many other charges. They are known to the people of the world as the worshipers of Satan. In fact, The Church of Satan is not a Satan worshiping organization. The Satanic Church is primarily an atheist organization and their scriptures in The Satanic Bible, 'There is no God, there is no Devil. A person is insane if he believes in any of them. Satan is more of a mode of behavior. They believe that religion prevents man from fulfilling his own human vocation and they are against it and therefore they are Satanist. There are many branches of Satanism. For example: Theistic Satanism, LaVeyan Satanism, Rebel Satanism and finally Modern Satanism. Modern Satanism supports religious freedom.
Satanism is a diverse religious and philosophical movement rooted in various historical and cultural contexts. While there are different branches and interpretations of Satanism, it is generally not a belief in or worship of a literal Satan. Instead, it often revolves around symbolism and metaphor to challenge religious and societal norms, promote individualism, and pursue personal freedom. The Church of Satan, founded by Anton LaVey in the United States in 1966, is one of the most well-known branches of Satanism. LaVeyan Satanism, as practiced by the Church of Satan, emphasizes individualism, self-indulgence, and the rejection of traditional religious beliefs and moral codes. It portrays Satan as a symbol of rebellion and personal empowerment rather than an actual deity. Another branch of Satanism is The Satanic Temple, founded in 2013, which is focused on social and political activism. It aims to challenge religious privilege and promote secularism. The Satanic Temple uses Satanic imagery and symbolism to advocate for separation of church and state, LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive rights, and other social justice causes. It is important to note that not all individuals or groups who identify as Satanists are affiliated with organized satanic organizations. Some people may adopt satanic symbolism to express their individual beliefs or for personal reasons. Additionally, not all forms of Satanism involve worship or belief in Satan as a supernatural being.
